We Grow
Through Play

We Grow
Through Play

At Kids-N-Motion, everything we do is guided by three core principles:

Regulation

The first step is always to help children feel organized, calm, and ready to learn.

Movement

Use movement and play as a vehicle for learning to build skills in meaningful ways.

Connection

Create opportunities for children to practice skills with others in real-life situations.

Together, these principles shape every therapy session and support growth at home, school, and in everyday life.

Regulation First

Regulation is the foundation for learning, communication, social interaction, and emotional well-being. When children feel overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, or disorganized, it can be difficult to participate successfully in daily activities. Before children can learn new skills, they often need support in understanding and managing what their bodies and emotions are communicating.

At Kids-N-Motion, we help children develop the tools they need to regulate their bodies, emotions, and attention through supportive relationships, sensory experiences, movement, and guided practice. Our goal is not simply to reduce behaviors, but to help children feel more confident, capable, and successful in everyday life.

Movement:  The Vehicle for Learning

Children learn best when they are actively engaged. Movement and play help children develop body awareness, attention, coordination, communication, problem-solving skills, and emotional regulation. These experiences provide a natural and motivating way for children to learn and grow.

At Kids-N-Motion, movement is integrated throughout occupational therapy, speech therapy, play therapy, and ABA services. When children are climbing, building, pretending, creating, communicating, or playing, they are developing skills that support success across environments. Learning is most effective when it is meaningful, engaging, and fun.

Peer Connection: Where Skills Become Real

Many skills can be taught in therapy, but they become meaningful when children use them with other people. Peer interactions naturally create opportunities to practice communication, flexibility, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and friendship skills. They also provide opportunities to work through challenges such as waiting, sharing, disappointment, and conflict resolution.

Because these situations occur naturally during play and interaction, children are able to practice skills in ways that closely resemble real-life experiences. With therapist support, children build confidence while learning how to navigate social-emotional situations successfully.

Why Our Sessions Work

Individualized Therapy

Every child receives one-on-one therapy tailored to their unique strengths, challenges, and goals. This individualized support allows therapists to build strong relationships, create meaningful goals, and provide personalized intervention.

Collaborative Care Across Disciplines

Occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, play therapists, and ABA providers work alongside one another throughout the day.

By sharing observations, strategies, and goals, our team is able to support the whole child while reinforcing skills across developmental areas.

Meeting Each Child's Individual Needs

While peer interaction is an important part of our model, every child is different. Some children benefit from dedicated individual time, while others may participate in sessions that include parents, siblings, or caregivers. This is especially important in play therapy, where children may be processing anxiety, grief, trauma, family transitions, or other deeply personal experiences.

Our goal is always to provide the right balance of individualized support, connection, and collaboration based on each child's unique needs.

Connection Through Shared Experiences

While each child works individually with their therapist, sessions are intentionally scheduled alongside same-aged peers who are also receiving one-on-one therapy.

This unique model creates natural opportunities for children to interact, communicate, problem-solve, and practice regulation skills while continuing to receive individualized support.

Watching sessions through the observation windows is so helpful — there’s no wondering how things are going, and we can bring what they work on into our home.

Our Clinic

You can feel the warmth and energy the moment you walk through our doors. At Kids-N-Motion, our clinic is thoughtfully designed to spark joy, build confidence, and support every child’s sensory and emotional needs. With multiple sensory gyms featuring foam pits, crash pads, a rock wall, indoor playground structures, and a zip line, movement and play are at the heart of everything we do.

We also offer small learning spaces, cozy calming spaces, and quiet hideaways, creating the perfect balance of adventure and regulation. All of our therapy rooms and gyms are equipped with one-way mirrors, allowing parents the opportunity to observe sessions discreetly. This encourages ongoing learning and collaboration, so parents can better understand their child’s therapy process and continue supporting progress at home.

Every corner of our space is built to encourage exploration, connection, and growth in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
